Malcolm Charles Salaman Malcolm Charles Salaman English author, journalist and critic Malcolm Charles Salaman (6 September 1855 – 22 January 1940) was an English author, journalist and critic. He was born and died in London. Life Of a Jewish family, the son of Charles Kensington Salaman, a musician, and his wife Frances Simon, he was born in the City of London and educated at University College School and Owens College, Manchester, where he studied mechanical engineering for four years.[1] Salaman had a mumber of literary and artistic aunts, including Rachel, Rose Emma, Annette, and Julia Salaman.[2] Career Salaman became a journalist, eventually editing two weekly papers.
