Esco Sarkkinen Esco Sarkkinen American football player and coach (1918–1998) Esco "Sark" Sarkkinen (April 9, 1918 – February 28, 1998) was an American college football player and coach. He played at Ohio State University from 1937 to 1939[1] and was a consensus first-team end on the 1939 College Football All-America Team.[2][3] He also served as an assistant coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team from 1946 to 1978.[2] Quick facts Biographical details, Born ...
